Michele Ledoux is a self-taught mixed-media encaustic artist based in Evergreen, Colorado. Her work explores the intersection of spirituality, materiality, and transformation through an elemental and intentional aesthetic. While grounded in minimalism, Ledoux’s process—combining beeswax with found objects and reclaimed materials—yields sculptural surfaces marked by cuts, cracks, and fissures that expose the raw beauty of imperfection and the quiet tension between control and surrender.
Ledoux’s work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions across the United States and internationally, earning multiple Best of Show awards. Selected shows include the Hamptons Fine Art Fair in New York, the Smithsonian Craft Show in Washington, D.C., SOFA Chicago, the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show, and the Architectural Digest Show. Representations include Dean Street Gallery (Palm Beach, FL) and Next Step Gallery (Ferndale, MI).
Ledoux’s practice embodies the alchemy of imperfection—merging organic material with refined structure to reveal vulnerability as an enduring form of strength.
