Former Marlborough resident Michele Renee Ledoux was in the city recently to participate in Paradise City Marlborough, a fine art show, held at the Royal Plaza Trade Center.
Presently she has a work of art on display in the "Embracing Our Differences" outdoor art exhibit at Island Park, situated along Sarasota, Florida's beautiful bay front.
Chosen as one of 35 out of 2600 applicants, Michele's work of art, called "Embrace Them. We are Them." has been reproduced on a 16 by 12 foot billboard.
It shows a photograph of a homeless Italian woman, which Ledoux took while visiting Venice, Italy. It will be showcased through the remainder of April and during the month of May.
The Embracing Our Differences exhibit is designed to promote, among other things, the value of diversity.
A 1986 graduate of Marlborough High School, Michele is the daughter of two former Marlborough City Councilors, Joan E. Ledoux and the late Robert A. Ledoux.
A 1990 graduate of the University of Colorado, Michele now lives and has a studio in, Evergreen, Colo.
