Much like the Native American ceremony of raising a teepee, “rising fire” is a celebration and honoring of the fact that it is only by allowing our fire to rise inside of us that we find our true creative purpose. *** *This work, along with "attunement," has an interesting history as it was chosen as 1 of 11 finalists in the international juried competition, Arte Laguna, for the Tenuta S. Anna Art Collection special prize. The Tenuta S. Anna estate and vineyard is located in the Lison Pramaggiore district of eastern Veneto, near the ancient Venetian town of Portogruaro, about 50 km (30 miles) east of Venice. During the entire year 2010, "attunement" traveled in various exhibitions throughout Italy including at the Venice Arsenale, the Vinitaly in Verona and Cantine Aperte to name a few. Although, the original is sold, there are still limited edition fine art archival prints available. |
