Much like the Native American ceremony of raising a teepee, “rising fire” is a celebration and honoring of the fact that it is only by allowing our fire to rise inside of us that we find our true creative purpose. *** *This work has recently been chosen as 1 of 11 finalists in the international juried competition, Arte Laguna, for the Tenuta S. Anna Art Collection special prize. The Tenuta S. Anna estate and vineyard is located in the Lison Pramaggiore district of eastern Veneto, near the ancient Venetian town of Portogruaro, about 50 km (30 miles) east of Venice. Thru December 2010, "rising fire" will travel in various exhibitions throughout Italy including at the Venice Arsenale from 6 to 27 March 2010, at the Vinitaly in Verona in April 2010 and Cantine Aperte in May 2010 to name a few. |
